The Schools Division of Calapan City successfully conducted the End-of-Term Collaborative Expertise of Kindergarten and Special Needs Education (SNED) Teachers on September 2, 2026, at the Gabaldon Building, Oriental Mindoro National High School.

A total of 62 Kindergarten teachers and 65 SNED teachers, coordinators, and ALS personnel actively participated in the activity, which provided a meaningful platform for collaboration, professional learning, and the sharing of best practices in advancing inclusive and learner-centered education.

The program was formally opened with encouraging welcome remarks from Dr. Joey B. Gutierrez, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division, who emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in responding to the diverse needs of learners. The activity was further graced by the presence of Schools Division Superintendent Ms. Susana M. Bautista, underscoring the Division’s strong support for programs that promote quality and inclusive education.

During the sessions, Kindergarten teachers engaged in discussions on Tracking Our Progress Kindergarten! (TOP K!), with emphasis on monitoring learners’ development and using progress data to inform appropriate learning support. Meanwhile, SNED teachers and coordinators focused on the implementation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and shared updates on upcoming activities and initiatives designed to better respond to the needs of learners with disabilities and other diverse learning needs.

Through meaningful discussions, sharing of experiences, and collaborative planning, the activity strengthened professional partnerships among educators and reaffirmed the Schools Division’s commitment to providing quality, inclusive, responsive, and learner-centered education for every learner.
